The day Jesus gave

Going to the grave

The day Jesus died
The most sacred of days
The day Jesus gave His life
Freeing us from sin and pain
This was an eternal plan
Sent from above
For all mankind
To show the Father’s love

Turn your face toward His
No more shame
All sins are gone
You are not the same
You can run
You can sing
Forever united with God
For all eternity

Tell all your friends
This deed was done
They need this gift of love
The gift of God’s Son
A truth to be shared
This redemption plan
Brings new life for all
Who place their trust in His hand

This sacred day
Above all days
Portrays the sacrifice 
Of the Ancient of Days
What are you waiting for?
Share this good news!
You are loved! You are redeemed!
A gift for all to choose

Remember Sunday is coming
The day He arose!
A day to celebrate 
Defeating every foe
New Life! 
Forever for us
Because of His love 
He showed on the cross
